Launch Of Version 3 CMORG Guidance For Firm Operational Resilience
Version 3 of the CMORG Guidance for Firm Operational Resilience has now been published. To download this artefact without registering, please click here.
Since its first publication in 2021, the guidance has been essential in supporting firms in their development and embedding of their operational resilience frameworks in response to the requirements for operational resilience (SS1/21 and PS21/3), issued by the UK financial authorities. A revised version (Version 2) was subsequently published in November 2023.
The Operational Resilience Collaboration Group (ORCG), under CMORG, has revisited the Guidance in line with the end of the regulatory transition period of March 2025. This version 3 incorporates regulatory developments and insights shared in the intervening period since last publication, in addition to industry learnings and best practice. The changes made ensure that the Guidance remains appropriate, relevant, and continues to provide effective reference material for firms as they mature and embed their approach to operational resilience beyond the 31st March 2025 regulatory deadline.
This revised document supports the essential uplifts and developments since its last publication. We will continue to monitor the changing landscape and evolution of operational resilience beyond March 2025 and ensure that this guidance matures in tandem with firms and the wider sector.
